I have had this antique piece in my collection for years. I got it on a vacation in a little antique shop in New Hampshire.
Nicely cared for in a smoke free home. Just has some patina from age.
It is an absolutely gorgeous hand made piece from Turkey. It has beautiful jewel tone enamel colors with a peacock design. Still has the original label from when I bought it on the bottom.
I believe these boxes were used for pills possibly back in the day.
This piece has undisturbed patina. The inside looks like it has never been used before as it has very little tarnish.
The enamel is in beautiful condition. None missing.
Hinges work perfectly. No breaks or repairs.
Tests as sterling.
Measures approximately 2 1/4” across by 1 1/2” deep and 1/2”
