Antique/vintage Romanian embroidered cotton blouse.

The hand-stitched embroidery around the wrists, shoulders, and neckline is exquisite, and the intricate details, including the cross-stitch (openwork) at the hem, make this a truly special piece.

The fabric is thick antique cotton, and it's rare to find cotton shirts with this much volume nowadays. It's not see-through, and the slubs characteristic of hand-woven fabric add to its charm.

There are buttons at the neck and wrists; when fastened, the delicate hand-stitched tucks create a three-dimensional effect, and the puff sleeves puff out beautifully. (Unlike many old Romanian embroidered blouses, this one has a well-balanced design, including the length, and the hem is not raw.)

Due to the antique cotton, there are minor stains and missing buttons (please see the photos). I have carefully hand-washed and brushed it at home.
