1890 501XX Reproduction
This is a golden size.
This is a reproduction of the 1890 model, when 501XX began to be used as a lot number.
The leather patch features the familiar Two Horse mark, and the lot number 501XX began to be used.
The back pocket is only one on the right side, and the Arcuate stitch is an old-style specification with a single-needle sewing machine that does not cross in the center.
The slightly different shapes are due to handwork.
At that time, belt loops were not yet used, and the waist was adjusted with suspenders or a cinch back.
The fabric is not from Cone Mills, and it is white selvedge, not the red selvedge that indicates Levi's.
The silhouette of the time, called waist overalls, is also characteristic.
