This is a jaw-dropping piece of fashion history. Dating to the late 1930s, this authentic wedding gown features a bias-cut rayon satin lining, a sheer illusion yoke with a ruffled Bertha collar, and a massive 90-inch lace cathedral train.
CONDITION: RESTORATION PROJECT This dress has been soaked and cleaned (yellowing is gone!), but she has flaws:
Holes: Several holes in the lace skirt; one goes through the lining, another is on the front lower skirt.
Rust: The cuff buttons have rusted, leaving stains on the sleeve lace. Buttons should be replaced.
Size: EXTREMELY SMALL.
Closure: Side metal hooks & eyes (Pre-zipper era).
Material: Cotton floral lace over bias-cut slip.
Vibe: Decadent, Art Deco, War Bride, Gothic Romance.
