I am sure the clasp was swapped out later on with the less complicated lobster claw. As it’s certainly not original to the necklace.
The metalwork/silverwork is sterling silver. Genuine Baltic Amber and it’s absolutely stunning! Not marked but acid tested to confirm sterling silver.
