Up for auction is Eiichi Ohtaki's "Peppermint Blue" PROMO ONLY MONO one-sided press, an extremely rare record.

The song was included as the 8th track on the album "EACH TIME," released on March 21, 1984.

Ohtaki's sound has the charm of singing about "a certain era" and "a certain situation," yet giving a universal impression, transcending the past and future.

"Choosing the chair at an angle because you look so beautiful from this perspective."

It's not just a color, but an image of peppermint blue. The lyrics are filled with words reminiscent of a resort in the southern sea, and along with the clear and colorful sound that feels like a pleasant breeze, Takashi Matsumoto's lyrics create a sophisticated love song for adults.

However, Eiichi Ohtaki fell into a slump during the album production and stopped his activities after its completion. After that, he only released three singles until 2007.

Now, regarding the "Peppermint Blue" being offered, there is a date sticker on the upper right of the jacket that reads 57.5.17. 57 refers to Showa 57, which is 1984. Since the album was released on March 21 of the same year, the promotional record of Peppermint Blue being offered was distributed about two months after the album's release. The jacket perfectly matches the song, and it should have been a hit (at least I would buy it). However, it was never released. The one-sided press also feels significant. I feel it might be related to Eiichi Ohtaki's slump during this period, but as a fan, I don't want to make any strange speculations.

I apologize for the long introduction.

This one-sided press DJ promo record by Eiichi Ohtaki, which was never released during this period, was only distributed to a limited number of people, making it a very rare and hard-to-find record. As you can see in the photos, tape has been applied in various places to protect the jacket case. However, the record itself is in very good condition, with no scratches, warps, or discoloration, and the sound quality is also very good. Noise is forbidden for this wonderful melody. The moment you drop the needle, you will be drawn into the Ohtaki sound.

However, it is a very old item. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect condition. Thank you.
