Antique blouses from France, circa 1900-1920.
Perhaps tailored for sisters, this is one of a pair of blouses with different designs, sourced from the same supplier.
Crisp, white cotton fabric with a firm texture.
The right hem features a "TF" monogram embroidery.
The placket, collar, and cuffs have soft, leaf-like scalloped embroidery with slightly rounded outlines.
The cuffs are designed to be fastened with two small shell buttons, giving a delicate and feminine impression.
The tailor must have considered the person, not just the garment.
You can feel the tailor's dedication, imagining the wearer's habits and even the movements of their hands.
Hand-washed.
