Vintage Hand-Carved Wood Duck Family Sculpture Folk Art – Handcrafted

Vintage American folk art sculpture featuring a hand-carved and painted wooden duck family, mounted on a shared wooden base.

The underside of the base is clearly stamped "Handcrafted by John Moland", confirming artist attribution (see photos). Signed examples by regional American folk artists are increasingly difficult to find, making this an appealing piece for collectors of authentic folk art.

The carving exhibits classic mid-to-late 20th century folk styling, with simplified, expressive forms, carved wooden feet and beaks, and intentionally textured paint. The grouping depicts an adult bird accompanied by three juveniles, presented as a decorative narrative family scene rather than functional hunting decoys.
