This work is considered by almost everyone to be ELP's masterpiece.
I remember the impact it had when it was released.

It's a live album (there is no studio version of this work), but the sound is so thick that you wouldn't think it was a three-person band. Another characteristic is that the sound quality is good even though it's live. Greg Lake's acoustic guitar solo, for example, sounds beautiful.

Keith Emerson also fully utilizes synthesizers in this work. At the time, synthesizers were hardly used in rock music, and even when they were, they were mainly used for sound effects. He completely mastered the synthesizer as a "crazy instrument." After this work, the way synthesizers were used in rock music changed significantly.

In that sense, it's an epoch-making masterpiece.
I think it's a must-listen album.

The item for sale is a Japanese pressing, highly regarded for its sound quality. It's a gatefold jacket.
Moreover, it's from the time of its release, with a list price of 2,000 yen!

Also, since I acquired it, the previous owner has drawn sketches of the three ELP members on the frame part of the jacket, which is an interesting jacket specification. I like it as a flavor, but since it's a pencil drawing, those who dislike it can probably erase it with an eraser.
