This is an extremely rare SP record, a phantom of its time.
1936 US Victor first pressing
Goodman was with Victor at the time, and Ella was with DECCA.
Victor released the record without DECCA's permission, using Ella as Goodman's vocalist.
Victor didn't include Ella's name on the record label to avoid detection by DECCA, but DECCA found out immediately.
DECCA was furious and the record was banned and recalled shortly after its release.
This is a phantom record that caused a major problem in America at the time. It became a hot topic because both were big names in the jazz world.
This US pressing of Benny Goodman & Ella Fitzgerald is very valuable!
The record has some scratches, but is in good condition.
