This Whiting and Davis vanity purse is a special and rare find! It features a dual, mirrored compact attached to an exquisitely enameled mesh purse.
The chunky, silver-toned compact is adorned with a charming dancing couple silhouette. The lovely clasp, accented with a small, black cabochon, opens to reveal two cosmetic compartments, one of which still contains its original puff. The oval, framed mirror remains highly reflective and sits next to a moveable metal tab, which once likely held a comb. The Whiting and Davis stamp is displayed on top of this metal tab.
Traces of the original cosmetics still remain inside, adding to its vintage charm.
The enamel mesh purse showcases a stunning cream and black Art Deco design. The rope wrist strap features a decorative metal detail that separates the finger-loop, with an approximately 4-inch drop.
