This is a 1998 Valencia factory Levi's 501xx reproduction E in size W32 L36. The button on the back is marked 555.
I don't think the hems have been altered. A person who is 177cm tried them on and found them too long.
I am not very knowledgeable about vintage denim, but I received these from a friend who is a vintage denim enthusiast. It seems that W32 from the USA Valencia factory is rare.
Since they mentioned that if it's not a hobby, I should sell them, I am putting them up for sale. I have never worn them myself, so I don't know the details.
