Rare estimated 70s vintage Albert Thurston suspenders, made in England. This is an extremely classic felt belt and gut model.

This highly sought-after model uses rare gut (said to be from animal intestines or whalebone) for the tab loops, which are no longer manufactured.

In the past, all known British gentlemen wore gut suspenders. One Savile Row tailor stated that the thinner the tab loops, the cooler they are, and thus, gut is the natural choice. A director at BEAMS also mentioned that with the classic style trending, it's best to acquire a gut model, which is essential but no longer produced, if you have the chance. In my experience, wearing gut suspenders earned me respect from someone at Shinanoya.
