The first print ever of this artwork. Highly sought after and valuable. Printed for a few short months before the official release of the base set in Japan. Which means it predates the English versions by 3 years.
Many cards are without rarity symbols; however, when a base set card is missing its rarity symbol it means it’s the true first edition of the pokéverse.
