Antique Jewelry Earrings Dormeuse 18k Filigree

These earrings were purchased from an antique jewelry shop in France.

They are a dormeuse design, where the hook is passed from behind the earlobe to the front and then inserted into the motif's hole. This type is comfortable to wear even while sleeping and is also known as sleeper earrings.

They feature delicate filigree work, resembling lace, with a pearl set in the center.

Metal: 18k gold (stamped with the eagle's head hallmark, indicating 18k or higher in France)
Era: Circa 1900

* Dormeuse earrings are very comfortable, also known as sleeper earrings (earrings you can wear while sleeping), but they can be a little tricky to put on until you get used to them. Sometimes, after passing the earring through the earlobe, it may slip when hooking it into the clasp.
Be careful not to force it in the wrong direction, and avoid using too much force when removing them, as this can cause deformation or damage.
