INFO: This Whelk Sea Shell is a 'Native' of North Carolina's 'SOUND & INLETS'.
It was 'Hand-Picked' after a Northeastern Storm. It is: 5" long, and 2.5" wide.
This Shell is mostly 'cream & light brown' in color on the outside, & 'orangee- brown'
on the inside (see pics). The Whelk Shell has a 'smooth surface' with the aperture on
the right. The Whelk Shell has a smooth 'inner-lip'.The WHELK lives on the sandy
bottoms of the SOUND & INLETS.
