Pair of vintage Arnels oversized ceramic mushroom salt and pepper shakers. Often confused with Merry Mushroom, the Arnels molds had ultra high relief detail, and no guidance was provided to painters, who used a variety of colors and decorative styles, making each set unique. These have a psychedelic mix of lava red, dark brown and yellow drip glaze shrooms with forest green leaves on golden beige speckled ground. Pink plastic stoppers. Approx. 4.25” H, 3.5” diameter. PLEASE NOTE: a few flea bite chips off high relief details (see photo), otherwise very good.
