Here we have three of some of the most gorgeous uncirculated German emergency paper notes issued in the early 1900s these notes Carry, many different designs and some very cool history along with them. The German occupation notes are in on circulated condition. Usually you don’t find these like this and as an extra, I threw in a 1957 a silver certificate I try to do larger lots like this so you’re not just paying shipping on one item I’ll be listing lots more paper currency to come.
Notgeld was a form of local currency issued in Germany during the early 1920s due to currency shortages and hyperinflation.
It often featured unique local designs and was intended as a temporary solution.
These "Serienscheine" (set issues) were produced mainly for collectors rather than for general circulation.
The note includes signatures from local officials, including the District Administrator (Landrat) Menzel.
