Early 1900s advertising box from Elwell Rubber & Ins. Co., originally used for “Indian Rubber Heels” — a popular replacement heel brand for cobblers and shoe repair shops.
This small paperboard box features bold red and black typography with detailed Native American chief illustrations as part of the original historic branding. Both sides display different illustrated portraits, adding to its graphic charm and display appeal.
Though empty, it makes a fantastic primitive accent for:
• General store displays
• Rustic farmhouse décor
• Early American advertising collections
• Cobbler / shoe repair memorabilia
• Photography styling props
Approximate date: Circa 1900–1925
Material: Printed paperboard
Approx measures 3" x 3"
Condition: Authentic age wear with edge rubbing, surface staining, and corner wear consistent with early 20th century packaging. Structurally sound and very displayable. Please review photos carefully.
This is an original antique advertising box — not a reproduction.
